As we explained in the Home Page, CS Associates has over the years purchased a number of green field sites that fulfil our criteria. This is basically a plot of land which is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a plot that has fantastic views, a plot that has planning permission ( or we know we can get it ) and a plot that we ourselves would be happy to live on.

The area around Penela has an abundant supply of sites with great views, it is after all hilly and largely undiscovered, however this also creates difficulties as most of the land is either not registered with the Land Registry or is owned by a family, or the owner is not known etc etc. There are also often a number of hurdles that need to be jumped before planning permission is given. Sometimes these can take years to resolve and it is thus imperative that the prospective buyer deals with someone who as we say has ‘ been there done that ‘…..

We at CS Associates have purchased land, have built houses in the area and have through trial and error learnt a lot of what you can do and what you cannot.

We have close ties with local architects and the local government departments and within reason are confident that your ideal house could be built on any of the sites listed. If you have a dream house, then this is the place to turn it into reality.

Have a look at the sites, we prefer to buy green-field sites as we believe they give more opportunity to the investor and are probably in the long run cheaper to develop, but we do not preclude old houses or partially built properties provided we can complete them to our own standard and they fulfil our other basic criteria with regards to area and views.
